Fixed #9253 -- Modified the method used to generate constraint names so that it is consistent regardless of machine word size.

NOTE: This change is backwards incompatible for some users.
If you are using a 32-bit platform, you will observe no differences as a
result of this change. However, users on 64-bit platforms may experience
some problems using the `reset` management command.
Prior to this change, 64-bit platforms would generate a 64-bit, 16 character
digest in the constraint name; for example:
ALTER TABLE `myapp_sometable` ADD CONSTRAINT `object_id_refs_id_5e8f10c132091d1e` FOREIGN KEY ...
Following this change, all platforms, regardless of word size, will
generate a 32-bit, 8 character digest in the constraint name; for example:
ALTER TABLE `myapp_sometable` ADD CONSTRAINT `object_id_refs_id_32091d1e` FOREIGN KEY ...
As a result of this change, you will not be able to use the `reset`
management command on any table created with 64-bit constraints. This
is because the the new generated name will not match the historically
generated name; as a result, the SQL constructed by the `reset` command
will be invalid.
If you need to reset an application that was created with 64-bit
constraints, you will need to manually drop the old constraint prior
to invoking `reset`.

Changes to `ImageFileDescriptor` and `ImageField` to fix a few cases of setting image dimension fields.

* Moved dimension field update logic out of `ImageFileDescriptor.__set__` and into its own method on `ImageField`.
* New `ImageField.update_dimension_fields` method is attached to model instance's `post_init` signal so that:
* Dimension fields are set when defined before the ImageField.
* Dimension fields are set when the field is assigned in the model constructor (fixes #11196 ), but only if the dimension fields don't already have values, so we avoid updating the dimensions every time an object is loaded from the database (fixes #11084 ).
* Clear dimension fields when the ImageField is set to None, which also causes dimension fields to be cleared when `ImageFieldFile.delete()` is used.
* Added many more tests for ImageField that test edge cases we weren't testing before, and moved the ImageField tests out of `file_storage` and into their own module within `model_fields`.

Fixed #10404 : ImageField height_field and width_field options no longer depend on putting the image field after the height/width fields as they did after r9766.
...
This bug actually exposed a related handful of inconsistancies in the underlying file handling and wraping, so a few related changes are in here as well:
* Dimensions are also now calculated the moment the image is assigned to the field instead of upon save.
* The base `File` object now when possible delegates its closed attribute down to the os-level file it wrapps.
* In-memory files' `close()` now is a no-op. Without this certain APIs that should be able to handle in-memory files were failing.
* Accessing `FieldFile.closed` used to open the file. That's silly, and it doesn't any more.
* Some over-eager error handling was squishing some errors that would normally be raised. One unit test was incorrectly depending on this behavior, so the test was removed.
Thanks to Armin Ronacher for much of this work.

Loading related models when some fields were deferred was resulting in
incorrect offsets being used into the results row, causing the wrong data to be
assigned to attributes.

More fixing of PostgreSQL < 8.2 problems with the psycopg2 backend.

Affects the postgresql_psycopg2 backend only. We now don't use the
"RETURNING" syntax in SQL INSERT statements unless it's required by the
autocommit behaviour. This fixes an edge-case that could cause crashes
with earlier PostgreSQL versions, but the broader problem remains to be
fixed (which is #10509 ).

Use plain model.Manager, or suitable proxy, for model saving.

We can't use the default manager in Model.save_base(), since we need to
retrieve existing objects which might be filtered out by that manager. We now
always use a plain Manager instance at that point (or something that can
replace it, such as a GeoManager), making all existing rows in the
database visible to the saving code.
The logic for detecting a "suitable replacement" plain base is the same as for
related fields: if the use_for_related_fields is set on the manager subclass,
we can use it. The general requirement here is that we want a base class that
returns the appropriate QuerySet subclass, but does not restrict the rows
returned.

Refs #2698 (which is not fixed by this change, but it's the first part of a
larger change to fix that bug.)

Tweaked the dummy database backend initialisation.

In order to report more comphrehensible tracebacks, remove the super()
constructor call, since passing args to object.__init__ ends badly. So some
subclassing possibilities are now removed, but it's the "dummy" backend, so
we can make some compromises.

Fixed #10467 -- Fixed generated INSERT SQL for PostgreSQL 8.1 and earlier.

I introduced a bad regression in r10029, forgetting to check that some
syntax was supported. For now, you can't use autocommit=True with 8.1
and earlier (it's still available for later versions). I'll fix the
broader issue later and re-enable it for those versions, but I want to
get the SQL regression for the default path out of the code right now.

Fixed #10459 -- Refactored the internals of database connection objects so that connections know their own settings and pass around settings as dictionaries instead of passing around the Django settings module itself. This will make it easier for multiple database support. Thanks to Alex Gaynor for the initial patch.

This is backwards-compatible but will likely break third-party database backends. Specific API changes are:
* BaseDatabaseWrapper.__init__() now takes a settings_dict instead of a settings module. It's called settings_dict to disambiguate, and for easy grepability. This should be a dictionary containing DATABASE_NAME, etc.
* BaseDatabaseWrapper has a settings_dict attribute instead of an options attribute. BaseDatabaseWrapper.options is now BaseDatabaseWrapper['DATABASE_OPTIONS']
* BaseDatabaseWrapper._cursor() no longer takes a settings argument.
* BaseDatabaseClient.__init__() now takes a connection argument (a DatabaseWrapper instance) instead of no arguments.

Adding a get_db_prep_save() call to the UpdateQuery code path meant it
was being called twice if you updated an existing model attribute. This
change removes that double call and also makes TimeField.to_python() a
little more robust for the benefit of the Oracle backend (just in case).

Pass values through get_db_prep_save() in a QuerySet.update() call.

This removes a long-standing FIXME in the update() handling and allows for
greater flexibility in the values passed in. In particular, it brings updates
into line with saves for django.contrib.gis fields, so fixed #10411 .

Fixed #9649 -- Better error handling in model creation.

Previously, you could explicitly assign None to a non-null ForeignKey
(or other) field when creating the model (Child(parent=None), etc). We
now throw an exception when you do that, which matches the behaviour
when you assign None to the attribute after creation.

Improved table join handling for comparisons against NULL.

This fixes a broad class of bugs involving filters that look for missing
related models and fields. Most of them don't seem to have been reported
(the added tests cover the root cause). The exception is that this has

Changed the row count value returned from update queries in some cases.
...
If an update only affected an ancestor model (not the child), we were
returning 0 for the number of rows updated. This could have been
misleading if the value is used to detect an update occuring. So we now
return the rowcount from the first non-trivial query that is executed
(if any). Still a slight compromise, but better than what we had.

Fixed #10121 : Restored code lost in r9766 that prevented overwriting an already-set blank=True FileField with blank. This would happen, for instance, in the admin if an object with a FileField was edited/saved but the file not re-uploaded, resulting in the association to the previously-uploaded file being lost. Adding the ability to re-blank FileFields when they are once set is the subject of a different ticket ( #7048 ), for now the pre-9766 behavior here has just been restored in order to avoid unexpected data loss. Thanks to Alex for help in understanding how to fix this without un-doing the intent of r9766.

Fixed #8138 -- Changed django.test.TestCase to rollback tests (when the database supports it) instead of flushing and reloading the database. This can substantially reduce the time it takes to run large test suites.

This change may be slightly backwards incompatible, if existing tests need to test transactional behavior, or if they rely on invalid assumptions or a specific test case ordering. For the first case, django.test.TransactionTestCase should be used. TransactionTestCase is also a quick fix to get around test case errors revealed by the new rollback approach, but a better long-term fix is to correct the test case. See the testing doc for full details.

Reconciling where- and having-clause behaviour.

Extricated the code that works directly with SQL columns (standard
"where" stuff) from the the code that takes SQL fragments and combines
it with lookup types and values. The latter portion is now more
generally reusable. Any existing code that was poking at Query.having
will now break in very visible ways (no subtle miscalculations, which is
a good thing).
This patch, en passant, removes the existing "having" test, since the
new implementation requires more setting up than previously. The
aggregates support (currently in a separate codebase) has tests for this
functionality that work as a replacement for the removed test.

Removed django.db.models.options.Options.one_to_one_field.

The last use of it was removed in r9641 (it's internal API) and it's been
broken since r7477, as there's no longer a maximum of one OneToOneField per
model, so anything relying on it contained subtle bugs.

If an SQL query doesn't specify any ordering, avoid the implicit sort

that happens with MySQL when a "GROUP BY" clause is included. This is a
backend-specific operation, so any other databases requiring similar
encouragement can have a function added to their own backend code.

Fixed #6748 -- When printing the repr() of querysets, don't load or display

more than 20 objects.
This means that accidentally executing HugeStoryArchive.objects.all() at the
interactive prompt (or in the debug template) won't try to load all 4,233,010
stories into memory and print them out. That would previously cause resource
starvation and other "interesting" crashes.
If you really, really want the previous behaviour (e.g. in a doctest that
prints more than 20 items), display "list(qs)" instead of just "qs".
