Anssi Kääriäinen 527cce80dc Made table_names() output sorted. 
Fixed #18218 -- previously Django's introspection table_names() and
get_table_list() methods did not sort the output consistently. This
resulted in random order of inspected models.

This commit also removed all external usages of get_table_list().
table_names() should be used instead.

Russell Keith-Magee ff60c5f9de Fixed #1142 -- Added multiple database support. 
This monster of a patch is the result of Alex Gaynor's 2009 Google Summer of Code project.
Congratulations to Alex for a job well done.

Russell Keith-Magee 8e68fc6cd1 Fixed #9717 -- Corrected a problem where django-admin.py flush would attempt to flush database tables that had not yet been created. This occurred when an application had been added to INSTALLED_APPS, but had not yet been synchronized. Thanks to Julien Phalip for the patch.

Jacob Kaplan-Moss 34a3bd5225 Major refactoring of django.dispatch with an eye towards speed. The net result is that signals are up to 90% faster. 
Though some attempts and backwards-compatibility were made, speed trumped compatibility. Thus, as usual, check BackwardsIncompatibleChanges for the complete list of backwards-incompatible changes.

Thanks to Jeremy Dunck and Keith Busell for the bulk of the work; some ideas from Brian Herring's previous work (refs #4561) were incorporated.

Documentation is, sigh, still forthcoming.

Fixes #6814 and #3951 (with the new dispatch_uid argument to connect).

Malcolm Tredinnick f9df4d1435 Make sure we only create the minimum number of table indexes for MySQL. 
This patch simplifies a bunch of code for all backends and removes some
duplicate index creation for MySQL, in particular (versions 4.x and later).
Patch from Nis Jørgensen.

Fixed #5671, #5680, #7170, #7186.

Malcolm Tredinnick 595e75e8dd Fixed #5729 -- For MySQL (only), always delay the creation of foreign key 
references, for all tables, until after the table has been created. This means
that when using the InnoDB storage engine, true foreign key constraints are
created (inline "REFERENCES" are ignored by InnoDB, unfortunately).

Fully backwards compatible.

Adrian Holovaty 38b5d7f23d Began implementing BaseDatabaseOperations class for every database backend. This class will be used to hold the database-specific methods that currently live at the module level in each backend. Only autoinc_sql() has been implemented so far.

Adrian Holovaty 01adbb55e6 Major refactoring of django.core.management -- it's now a package rather than a 1730-line single module. All django-admin/manage.py commands are now stored in separate modules. This is backwards-incompatible for people who used django.core.management functions directly
