Converted sessions tests from doctest to unittest.

Also made the FileSession backend consistent with other backends in one

Fixed #13547 -- Made sure the ISO 8601 date formatting introduced in r12058 uses "T" as the separator between the date and the time value to increase real world usefulness.

While the ISO standard permits the use of a space instead of "T" for readability, it does have an impact on standards like HTML5 which rely on specific rules made in RFC 3339.

* Reviewed them for missing backslash escaping characters.
* Converted all of them to raw strings for consistency.
* Made default 'long' output specifiers for dates and/or times more terse
and so more suited to real local usage, trying to maintain backward
compatiblity with the equally named pre 1.2 technical message IDs where
possible.

Fixed #11967 : use a different technique to get `ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX` in admin JS.

We now store ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX on the window object and let JS files read it
from there. The old technique -- looking a <script> tags and trying to deduce
the prefix -- broke with libraries like TineMCE that dynamically add <script>
tags to the <head>.
This is potentially backwards-incompatible for folks who've overridden
`admin/base.html`; they'll need to add the proper <script> line to
their new `admin/base.html`. For that reason, this changeset shouldn't
be backported to 1.1.X.

#13068 is a regression caused by the new javascript inline forms in the
admin. The others were existing javascript bugs with prepopulated fields.
Since the solution depends on jQuery and would likely be very hard to
backport without it, it will not be backported to 1.1.X.

* If you were listening to "add", you should now listen to "post_add".
* If you were listening to "remove", you should now listen to "post_remove".
* If you were listening to "clear", you should now listen to "pre_clear".
You may also want to examine your code to see whether the "pre_add", "pre_remove" or "post_clear" would be better suited to your application.

Tweaked a test to trigger the condition and verify the fix.
Finally, documented that limit_choices_to specified as a Q object has no effect
on the choices available for fields listed in raw_id_fields, and removed another
incorrect note that claimed limit_choices_to had no effect on inlines in the admin.

This allows customizing the standard "..." end text. Yes, this is technically a
feature sneaking in after the deadline, but I just couldn't bring myself to punt

This is a BACKWARDS INCOMPATIBLE change, because it removes the flawed
'auto_adapt_to_methods' decorator, and replaces it with 'method_decorator'
which must be applied manually when necessary, as described in the 1.2
release notes.
For users of 1.1 and 1.0, this affects the decorators:
* login_required
* permission_required
* user_passes_test
For those following trunk, this also affects:
* csrf_protect
* anything created with decorator_from_middleware
If a decorator does not depend on the signature of the function it is
supposed to decorate (for example if it only does post-processing of the
result), it will not be affected.

Reduced CookieStorage.max_cookie_size to 75% of 4K to be nice to Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer, up to at least version 7, allows only 4K cookie data *per
domain*, rather than per cookie, so we ensure that stored messages leave
some room for other cookies.

Fixed #12470 - django.contrib.messages CookieStorage failing silently in safari when comma is used in message

This issue was fixed by changing the underlying cookie storage mechanism.
This will fix other bugs with cookies for Internet Explorer and Safari, but
could also cause backwards incompatibilities with existing javascript that
may parse cookie values that contain commas or semi-colons, and, very
rarely, with existing cookie values.

Fixed problems associated with the `GeometryField` SRID cache: it is now keyed by the connection alias rather than the spatial backend name (e.g., `spatial_ref_sys` tables may have different entries, even if backend is the same), explicitly pass in connection alias to `SpatialRefSys` query to ensure correct entry is retrieved, and removed unused code from `GeometryField.get_distance`. Fixed #12637 -- GeoDjango's `inspectdb` command is now a subclass of Django's, and works with all spatial backends (Oracle and SpatiaLite did work before). This changeset introduces new introspection modules for all of the spatial backends and adds hooks to the original `inspectdb.Command` class to enable reuse.

Fixed #11615 -- Changed test runners to use an exit status code of 1 for any number of failed tests. The previous behavior of using an exit status code equal to the number of failed tests produced incorrect exit status codes when the number of test failures was 256 or greater. Fixed `LayerMapping` to work with PostGIS geography fields; removed `LayerMapping.geometry_column` and replaced with `LayerMapping.geometry_field` because getting the `geometry_columns` entry was completely unnecessary, and only the geometry field instance is needed; cleaned up and fleshed out the `geogapp` tests.

Fixed #10646 : `cache.incr()` and `decr()` now fail consistantly under python-memcache and cmemcache.

Though it looks like this commit has no tests that's not so: this is tested for in `regressiontests/cache/tests.py` around like 183; these tests currently fail if ran against cmemcache.

Fixed edge case that breaks the test suite on versions of Python > 2.6.4

Before http://svn.python.org/view?view=rev&revision=74647 it was possible to
pass a SimpleCookie to load, but this no longer works due to a different bug
in Python the said revision fixed.
My guess is a SimpleCookie was never intended to be passed through load which
is perfectly reasonable.

of the parser methodology and Russell Keith-Magee for code reviews.
There are some BACKWARDS INCOMPATIBILITIES in rare cases - in particular, if
you were using the keywords 'and', 'or' or 'not' as variable names within
the 'if' expression, which was previously allowed in some cases.

Fixed #4604 - Configurable message passing system, supporting anonymous users

This deprecates User.message_set in favour of a configurable messaging
system, with backends provided for cookie storage, session storage and
backward compatibility.
Many thanks to Tobias McNulty for the bulk of the work here, with
contributions from Chris Beaven (SmileyChris) and lots of code review from
Russell Keith-Magee, and input from many others. Also credit to the authors
of various messaging systems for Django whose ideas may have been pinched
:-)

Optimised use of 'in' operator on QuerySet using an explicit __contains__ method.

Without this change, use of 'in' on a QuerySet resulted in ._result_cache
being fully populated, which sometimes is unnecessary work.
