Objects can be fast-path deleted if there are no signals, and there are
no further cascades. If fast-path is taken, the objects do not need to
be loaded into memory before deletion.

Internal refactoring; moving LOOKUP_SEP up one level.

In an ideal world, nothing except django.db.models.query should have to
import stuff from django.models.sql.*. A few things were needing to get
hold of sql.constants.LOOKUP_SEP, so this commit moves it up to
django.db.models.constants.LOOKUP_SEP.
There are still a couple of places (admin) poking into sql.* to get
QUERY_TERMS, which is unfortunate, but a slightly different issue and
harder to adjust.

Remove Admin's swallowing of AttributeError ( #16655 , #18593 , #18747 )

During the new-admin changes, catching of AttributeError was added to
the admin. This patch removes that as it's no longer possible to add a
value to a ModelAdmin that is not available. Adding an attribute that
can not be called causes an ImproperlyConfigured exception to be raised.

* Renamed smart_unicode to smart_text (but kept the old name under
Python 2 for backwards compatibility).
* Renamed smart_str to smart_bytes.
* Re-introduced smart_str as an alias for smart_text under Python 3
and smart_bytes under Python 2 (which is backwards compatible).
Thus smart_str always returns a str objects.
* Used the new smart_str in a few places where both Python 2 and 3
want a str.

Remove the summary attribute of the table

In the discussion here: https://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/17138
it was decided that using the caption for this previously
non-visible part of the table element was not semantic, so in this
patch is moves that summary to the `title` attribute of the `a`
tag which when overed over, on most browsers, will show the text.

Added a password reset link to default admin login page if a password reset URL is available.

appear!

Disentangled some parts of the admin ChangeList and ListFilter's internals. With this refactoring, the query string lookups are now processed once instead of twice and some bugs (in particular the SimpleListFilter parameter name being mistaken for a model field in some cases) are avoided.

Fixed #16716 -- Fixed two small regressions in the development version introduced in r16144 where the changelist crashed with a 500 error instead of nicely operating a 302 redirection back to the changelist.

The two specific cases were:
* a lookup through a non-existing field and apparently spanning multiple relationships (e.g. "?nonexistant__whatever=xxxx").
* a proper list_filter's queryset failing with an exception. In Django 1.3 the queryset was only directly manipulated by the changelist, whereas in 1.4 the list_filters may manipulate the queryset themselves. The fix here implies catching potential failures from the list_filters too.

Fixed #16050 -- BACKWARDS-INCOMPATIBLE CHANGE: Moved static files of the admin to conventional file system location.

This also removes the need for ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX and replaces it with the convention to find admin's static files at STATIC_URL + 'admin/'.

Stopped the admin JavaScript code from completely removing the `jQuery` object from the global namespace to ease the use of jQuery plugins. The `django.jQuery` object is still supposed to be used by Django's own JavaScript files. Refs #12882 .

Prevented non-admin users from accessing the admin redirect shortcut.

If the admin shortcut view (e.g. /admin/r/<content-type>/<pk>/) is
publically-accessible, and if a public users can guess a content-type ID
(which isn't hard given that they're sequential), then the redirect view could
possibly leak data by redirecting to pages a user shouldn't "know about." So
the redirect view needs the same protection as the rest of the admin site.

Fixed #14693 , #14709 -- Backwards incompatible change to rectify the confusion around the STATICFILES_URL and STATICFILES_ROOT settings.

* Two new global settings that will be used by -- **but are not limited to** -- the staticfiles app: STATIC_ROOT and STATIC_URL.
* Moving the 'django.contrib.staticfiles.templatetags.staticfiles' template tag to the core ('django.templatetags.static') and renaming it to 'get_static_prefix'.
* Moving the context processor 'django.contrib.staticfiles.context_processors.staticfiles' to the core ('django.core.context_processors.static') and renaming it to 'static'.
* Paths in media definitions will use STATIC_URL as the prefix if the value is not None, and falls back to the previously used MEDIA_URL.

Fixed #11967 : use a different technique to get `ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX` in admin JS.

We now store ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX on the window object and let JS files read it
from there. The old technique -- looking a <script> tags and trying to deduce
the prefix -- broke with libraries like TineMCE that dynamically add <script>
tags to the <head>.
This is potentially backwards-incompatible for folks who've overridden
`admin/base.html`; they'll need to add the proper <script> line to
their new `admin/base.html`. For that reason, this changeset shouldn't
be backported to 1.1.X.
