Fixed #6799 - added an `end_text` argument to `truncate_words`/`truncate_html_words`.

This allows customizing the standard "..." end text. Yes, this is technically a
feature sneaking in after the deadline, but I just couldn't bring myself to punt
it again: we already used that excuse for not getting it into 1.1.

This is a BACKWARDS INCOMPATIBLE change, because it removes the flawed
'auto_adapt_to_methods' decorator, and replaces it with 'method_decorator'
which must be applied manually when necessary, as described in the 1.2
release notes.
For users of 1.1 and 1.0, this affects the decorators:
* login_required
* permission_required
* user_passes_test
For those following trunk, this also affects:
* csrf_protect
* anything created with decorator_from_middleware
If a decorator does not depend on the signature of the function it is
supposed to decorate (for example if it only does post-processing of the
result), it will not be affected.

Reduced CookieStorage.max_cookie_size to 75% of 4K to be nice to Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer, up to at least version 7, allows only 4K cookie data *per
domain*, rather than per cookie, so we ensure that stored messages leave
some room for other cookies.

Fixed #12470 - django.contrib.messages CookieStorage failing silently in safari when comma is used in message

This issue was fixed by changing the underlying cookie storage mechanism.
This will fix other bugs with cookies for Internet Explorer and Safari, but
could also cause backwards incompatibilities with existing javascript that
may parse cookie values that contain commas or semi-colons, and, very
rarely, with existing cookie values.

Fixed problems associated with the `GeometryField` SRID cache: it is now keyed by the connection alias rather than the spatial backend name (e.g., `spatial_ref_sys` tables may have different entries, even if backend is the same), explicitly pass in connection alias to `SpatialRefSys` query to ensure correct entry is retrieved, and removed unused code from `GeometryField.get_distance`. specified EMAIL_BACKEND setting. If you have manually specified

Fixed #10646 : `cache.incr()` and `decr()` now fail consistantly under python-memcache and cmemcache.

Though it looks like this commit has no tests that's not so: this is tested for in `regressiontests/cache/tests.py` around like 183; these tests currently fail if ran against cmemcache.

Before http://svn.python.org/view?view=rev&revision=74647 it was possible to
pass a SimpleCookie to load, but this no longer works due to a different bug
in Python the said revision fixed.
My guess is a SimpleCookie was never intended to be passed through load which
is perfectly reasonable.

This deprecates User.message_set in favour of a configurable messaging
system, with backends provided for cookie storage, session storage and
backward compatibility.
Many thanks to Tobias McNulty for the bulk of the work here, with

Russell Keith-Magee, and input from many others. Also credit to the authors

Allow CsrfResponseMiddleware to be used if templates cannot be updated.

For the case where someone is using contrib views with custom templates that
they cannot update to use the template tag, it should be possible to use
CsrfResponseMiddleware. This requires that 'csrf_response_exempt' is not
used for the admin views.

Fixed #12095 - login and other contrib views failing if template rendered using inclusion tag.

The {% csrf_token %} tag is unable to get its value if a template is
rendered using an inclusion_tag, since that creates a brand new Context,
rather than using the existing one. Since this is a common pattern, and we
need CSRF protection to be as simple and easy as possible, we special case
the csrf_token and copy it from the parent context to the new context.
A more elegant and general solution may appear in future, but this is good
enough for now.

There is stub code for backwards compatiblity with Django 1.1 imports.
The documentation has been updated, but has been left in
docs/contrib/csrf.txt for now, in order to avoid dead links to
documentation on the website.

Fixed #9977 - CsrfMiddleware gets template tag added, session dependency removed, and turned on by default.

This is a large change to CSRF protection for Django. It includes:
* removing the dependency on the session framework.
* deprecating CsrfResponseMiddleware, and replacing with a core template tag.
* turning on CSRF protection by default by adding CsrfViewMiddleware to
the default value of MIDDLEWARE_CLASSES.
* protecting all contrib apps (whatever is in settings.py)
using a decorator.
For existing users of the CSRF functionality, it should be a seamless update,
but please note that it includes DEPRECATION of features in Django 1.1,
and there are upgrade steps which are detailed in the docs.
Many thanks to 'Glenn' and 'bthomas', who did a lot of the thinking and work
on the patch, and to lots of other people including Simon Willison and
Russell Keith-Magee who refined the ideas.

As of this commit, the CSRF code is mainly in 'contrib'. The code will be

Fixed non-standard introspection support in LazyObject.

LazyObject called a public method ``get_all_members`` on wrapped objects in
order to allow introspection. This could easily cause name clashes with
existing methods on wrapped objects, and so has been changed to use the
standard methods. This could be slightly backwards-incompatible, in obscure
cases, if the undocumented LazyObject has been used externally.

SECURITY ALERT: Corrected regular expressions for URL and email fields.

Certain email addresses/URLs could trigger a catastrophic backtracking situation, causing 100% CPU and server overload. If deliberately triggered, this could be the basis of a denial-of-service attack.
This security vulnerability was disclosed in public, so we're skipping our
normal security release process to get the fix out as soon as possible.
This is a security related update. A full announcement, as well as backports for the 1.1.X and 1.0.X series will follow.
