SuspiciousOperations have been differentiated into subclasses, and
are now logged to a 'django.security.*' logger. SuspiciousOperations
that reach django.core.handlers.base.BaseHandler will now return a 400
instead of a 500.

Thanks kmike for the report and initial patch for the changelist->edit
object view link URL.
Other affected links include the delete object one and object history
one (in this case the change had been implemented in commit 5a9e127, this
commit adds admin-quoting of the object PK in a way similar to a222d6e.)
Refs #15294.
* Renamed smart_unicode to smart_text (but kept the old name under
Python 2 for backwards compatibility).
* Renamed smart_str to smart_bytes.
* Re-introduced smart_str as an alias for smart_text under Python 3
and smart_bytes under Python 2 (which is backwards compatible).
Thus smart_str always returns a str objects.
* Used the new smart_str in a few places where both Python 2 and 3
want a str.
The two specific cases were:
* a lookup through a non-existing field and apparently spanning multiple relationships (e.g. "?nonexistant__whatever=xxxx").
* a proper list_filter's queryset failing with an exception. In Django 1.3 the queryset was only directly manipulated by the changelist, whereas in 1.4 the list_filters may manipulate the queryset themselves. The fix here implies catching potential failures from the list_filters too.

This deprecates User.message_set in favour of a configurable messaging
system, with backends provided for cookie storage, session storage and
backward compatibility.
Many thanks to Tobias McNulty for the bulk of the work here, with
contributions from Chris Beaven (SmileyChris) and lots of code review from
Russell Keith-Magee, and input from many others. Also credit to the authors
of various messaging systems for Django whose ideas may have been pinched
:-)

Fieldset dictionary names, search fields and unique_together attribute
names all have to be convertible to strings (that has always been true).
If somebody passes in a unicode object, Python barfs because Django uses
those values as keyword argument names and function calls require
parameter names to be str objects. We now convert thing to strs
automatically.

* Escaped text that gets sent after saving the admin foreignkey popup form.
* Added quotes around the second argument passed to `opener.dismissAddAnotherPopup` to make the function also work when a text field is used as the primary key.
* Added a `html_unescape` javascript function to unescape the strings passed in to the `dismissAddAnotherPopup` function so that the added choice displays correctly in the dropdown box.

to return Decimal instances in Python for this field. Backwards incompatible
change.
Added a real FloatField (stores floats in the database) and support for
FloatField and DecimalField in newforms (analogous to IntegerField).
Included decimal.py module (as django.utils._decimal) from Python 2.4. This is
license compatible with Django and included for Python 2.3 compatibility only.
Large portions of this work are based on patches from Andy Durdin and Jorge
Gajon.
