This also removes the need for ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX and replaces it with the convention to find admin's static files at STATIC_URL + 'admin/'.

Stopped the admin JavaScript code from completely removing the `jQuery` object from the global namespace to ease the use of jQuery plugins. The `django.jQuery` object is still supposed to be used by Django's own JavaScript files. Refs #12882 .

Prevented non-admin users from accessing the admin redirect shortcut.

If the admin shortcut view (e.g. /admin/r/<content-type>/<pk>/) is
publically-accessible, and if a public users can guess a content-type ID
(which isn't hard given that they're sequential), then the redirect view could
possibly leak data by redirecting to pages a user shouldn't "know about." So
the redirect view needs the same protection as the rest of the admin site.

Fixed #14693 , #14709 -- Backwards incompatible change to rectify the confusion around the STATICFILES_URL and STATICFILES_ROOT settings.

* Two new global settings that will be used by -- **but are not limited to** -- the staticfiles app: STATIC_ROOT and STATIC_URL.
* Moving the 'django.contrib.staticfiles.templatetags.staticfiles' template tag to the core ('django.templatetags.static') and renaming it to 'get_static_prefix'.
* Moving the context processor 'django.contrib.staticfiles.context_processors.staticfiles' to the core ('django.core.context_processors.static') and renaming it to 'static'.
* Paths in media definitions will use STATIC_URL as the prefix if the value is not None, and falls back to the previously used MEDIA_URL.

Fixed #11967 : use a different technique to get `ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX` in admin JS.

We now store ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX on the window object and let JS files read it
from there. The old technique -- looking a <script> tags and trying to deduce
the prefix -- broke with libraries like TineMCE that dynamically add <script>
tags to the <head>.
This is potentially backwards-incompatible for folks who've overridden
`admin/base.html`; they'll need to add the proper <script> line to
their new `admin/base.html`. For that reason, this changeset shouldn't
be backported to 1.1.X.

#13068 is a regression caused by the new javascript inline forms in the
admin. The others were existing javascript bugs with prepopulated fields.
Since the solution depends on jQuery and would likely be very hard to
backport without it, it will not be backported to 1.1.X.

Tweaked a test to trigger the condition and verify the fix.
Finally, documented that limit_choices_to specified as a Q object has no effect
on the choices available for fields listed in raw_id_fields, and removed another
incorrect note that claimed limit_choices_to had no effect on inlines in the admin.

Fixed #6191 , #11296 -- Modified the admin deletion confirmation page to use the same object collection scheme as the actual deletion. This ensures that all objects that may be deleted are actually deleted, and that cyclic display problems are avoided. Thanks to carljm for the patch.

Fixed #12804 - regression with decorating admin views.

This is a BACKWARDS INCOMPATIBLE change, because it removes the flawed
'auto_adapt_to_methods' decorator, and replaces it with 'method_decorator'
which must be applied manually when necessary, as described in the 1.2
release notes.
For users of 1.1 and 1.0, this affects the decorators:
* login_required
* permission_required
* user_passes_test
For those following trunk, this also affects:
* csrf_protect
* anything created with decorator_from_middleware
If a decorator does not depend on the signature of the function it is
supposed to decorate (for example if it only does post-processing of the
result), it will not be affected.

Fixed #4604 - Configurable message passing system, supporting anonymous users

This deprecates User.message_set in favour of a configurable messaging
system, with backends provided for cookie storage, session storage and
backward compatibility.
Many thanks to Tobias McNulty for the bulk of the work here, with
contributions from Chris Beaven (SmileyChris) and lots of code review from
Russell Keith-Magee, and input from many others. Also credit to the authors

Allow CsrfResponseMiddleware to be used if templates cannot be updated.

For the case where someone is using contrib views with custom templates that
they cannot update to use the template tag, it should be possible to use
CsrfResponseMiddleware. This requires that 'csrf_response_exempt' is not
used for the admin views.

There is stub code for backwards compatiblity with Django 1.1 imports.
The documentation has been updated, but has been left in
docs/contrib/csrf.txt for now, in order to avoid dead links to

Fixed #9977 - CsrfMiddleware gets template tag added, session dependency removed, and turned on by default.

This is a large change to CSRF protection for Django. It includes:
* removing the dependency on the session framework.
* deprecating CsrfResponseMiddleware, and replacing with a core template tag.
* turning on CSRF protection by default by adding CsrfViewMiddleware to
the default value of MIDDLEWARE_CLASSES.
* protecting all contrib apps (whatever is in settings.py)
using a decorator.
For existing users of the CSRF functionality, it should be a seamless update,
but please note that it includes DEPRECATION of features in Django 1.1,
and there are upgrade steps which are detailed in the docs.
Many thanks to 'Glenn' and 'bthomas', who did a lot of the thinking and work
on the patch, and to lots of other people including Simon Willison and
Russell Keith-Magee who refined the ideas.

As of this commit, the CSRF code is mainly in 'contrib'. The code will be

Fixed #10061 -- Added namespacing for named URLs - most importantly, for the admin site, where the absence of this facility was causing problems. Thanks to the many people who contributed to and helped review this patch.

This change is backwards incompatible for anyone that is using the named URLs
introduced in [9739]. Any usage of the old admin_XXX names need to be modified
to use the new namespaced format; in many cases this will be as simple as a
search & replace for "admin_" -> "admin:". See the docs for more details on
the new URL names, and the namespace resolution strategy.
